where is the Access Point -- SSID Name stored?

Asked by Al

I have completed HP-SETUP (Ubuntu 9.04) successfully. The last screen msg2 states configured to commect to access point with mfg. SSID name. Name is: VSA200.
I think that the VSA200 needs to be "default" which is my network name. Problem is I have absolutely no idea where to change this name.
I might mention other network functions, such as access files on the Windows computers, seems to work fine.

Other than this issue the installation went exactly as shown in the installation pages.................... Al

You'd want to delete the printer queue and run hp-setup again to change the access point information. This is because your IP address will more than likely be different with a different access point and you'd want to ensure that you don't have any other issues with the printer setup.

Hope this helps.

First how do I delete the printer queue?

I have run hp-set multiple times. Each time I have connected to the USB; all appears to run correctly and then I get this error message at the end. When I press "Finish" it goes back to page 1 to start the cycle of finding the printer etc. etc..

You can delete the printer queue by either running hp-toolbox, click the printer and then the minus button at the top.

Or you can go to http://localhost:631/printers

and click delete on the queue.

I have tried this a couple of times. With the USB cable in both print and scan work fine. Pull the USB cable and neither work. I still get the error 5012 and the same message 2 that I originally had. So how do I change the VAS200 to default??????.................... Al
