HP device manager asks for a username and password??

Asked by xrules

I just installed hplip on opensuse 11.1 and towards the end of the installation, I choose my network printer and click next. and
1. it complains about the plugin file for Color Laserjet 2600n and I continue without (can someone tell me how I can download manually the file, I did download the hplip....-plugin.run (but this is a script and not the binary plugin itself) so the "next" button is deactivated.

2. if I still continue with the warning then I get this screen with login and password with the heading "you do not have authorization ..."
I tried root login n password .. without any help.. any idea what this could be?

thanks in advance..

The hplip-x.x.x-plugin.run is the binary plugin file. It can be installed by
using hp-plugin, or by running the file (it will self-install).
