What username/password in HPLIP Status Service

Asked by Peter Mose-Christensen

When I run HPLIP Status Service -> HP Device Manager -> Open printer's web page in a browser, the html page 'HP ENVY 4500 e-All-in-One Printer series' is shown.
Then, if I try to open e.g. "Settings", '(not safe) http://hp9457a5ca83d7.local' asks for username and password.
Tried username/password for Wi-Fi, sudo and access to Linux Mint without any success.
I am a member of the lp group, and firewall is disabled during attempts.

What username/password may I use?

As it happens, I have that printer model and can access its web
interface using the IP address of the printer or envy4500.local in
the browser's address bar. I see that, under Settings, a username
and password may be set. Are you sure you, or someone else,
hasn't done this?

I am the only user, and I have tried to set a username/password, but without any success.
The problem is not opening the printer's web page, but accessing som special features on the page protected by username/password.

Whatever the issue, it has nothing to do with HPLIP.
