I have a problem getting two HP printers to work using different HPLIP drivers, the first HP 1018 Laserjet was working OK when I installed the second printer, i.e. the HP MFP 477 fdn works now but the 1018 does not.

When I was installing the 477 fdn with the HPLIP 3.17.6 driver, the message came up that said if you continue to install this driver there could be a conflict, since I wanted to new printer to work I continued, and the terminal deleted to old driver and installed the new one, ever since the 1018 doesn't work.

It seems to me that with all these failures in the terminal they need to be corrected first before I can get anything to work properly.

Does anyone have any ideas? Please write to let me know...

The configuration of your package management system seems to be wrong.
You have references to non-existing repositories in your sources.list file(s).

I suggest that you ask at the Linux Mint support pages https://linuxmint.com/contactus.php and https://forums.linuxmint.com/ what the correct contents of the list of repository sources should be.

Ms. Hampi,
Your saying I have to get help from a chat room? I don't think they would
know anything about this problem. However I will try.
