Battery level of HP OfficeJet H470 not shown

Asked by Till Kamppeter

As I have already told in bug 204160, the battery level of the OfficeJet H470 is not shown when reading out the supply levels.

When I enter "hp-levels" and choose the OfficeJet H470 I get the output which I show below. See that the battery is mentioned but no bar graph for its level shown. On the DeskJet 450 this worked correctly.

Now a strange thing happened: I got the supply level readout in the hp-toolbox working again (bug 239748) and for the HP OfficeJet H470 I saw a posiitive result: The battery level is shown. And trhe bar graph shows really the battery level, as I ran the printer on battery and now I am charging it and the bar graph behaves appropriately.

So there seems to be a bug in the hp-levels command line tool.

We haven't been able to reproduce this in 2.8.9 on Ubuntu Hardy. HPLIP does not support MacOS, for Mac drivers please go to http://www.hp.com
