xsane does not have the option halftone but only color, grey, lineart

Asked by zinks

Using hplip 2.8.7 on an officejet j6410.
I'm missing the halftone option which I use on my Epson scanner for scanning documents to pdf.
Is that not supported on the sane backend or am I missing some configuration steps to get this option with xsane ?

Halftoning would be a post-processing step after a color or greyscale scan.
Use GIMP or similar tool to do halftoning.
