hp clue window appears

Asked by toro

Hi,

when i'm pressing the scan-to button, either if the printer is connected or not to the computer a message appears on the display: "No scan options. Please refer to device documentation troubleshoot"

My Distribution is Ubuntu 8.04
My printer is a Hp Officejet J5730 All-in-One
Typing hp-check -t this is the result:

We don't currently support this functionality. To scan from the PC, launch a
scanning program (xsane, etc) on the PC.

Is this still not supported as of today? I was hoping this "bug 256541" ( https://bugs.launchpad.net/hplip/+bug/256541 ) would have been implemented by now.

Can you help with this problem?

Provide an answer of your own, or ask toro for more information if necessary.
