HP Laserjet 3150 is not found in device setup

Asked by jonasli151

Hello,

the HPLIP homepage says HP Laserjet 3150 is supported, I just saw another user asking about support who got a negative answer. Is it supported or not?

I cannot install the device with CUPS and if I try to set it up with HPLIP the device is not found.

Best regards,

Jonas

HP LaserJet 3150

Supported by HPLIP (requires HPLIP version 0.9.5 or later).

I believe there was an issue with support for this printer until recently.
It whould be working properly in 2.8.7. What version have you tried?

I had the same problem as https://answers.launchpad.net/hplip/+question/42336. Installing the hplip-2.8.7.run allowed installation of my HP 3150 through CUPS interface.

However, printing still does not work. According to HP Device Manager printing is finished although a communication occurred. I posted a separate question on this one: https://answers.launchpad.net/hplip/+question/42510 (HP 3150 installs, but does not print (says printing finished, but also communication error)) with log details

Can you help with this problem?
