Unable to remove hp-systray from autostart

Asked by Matthias Metzger

Hi,
I have the problem that the hp system tray applet (hp-systray) is started on every boot though I deactivated the autostart in System->Preferences->Sessions. Is there anything else to deacivate in order to get rid of this applet?
I'm using Ubuntu 8.10 Intrepid (Latest Alpha).

Try removing the file from the /etc/xdg/autostart directory (its named
hplip-systray.desktop).
