HP LJ p1102 firmware update

Is it possible to update (not install) firmware with HPLIP? I see such utility for Windows at HP website but cannot find it with HPLIP. As I know hp-firmware only installs (not updates) the firmware + it says me 'error: No device found that support this feature.' after run.

Printer: HP LaserJet p1102
HPLIP: 3.16.10
OS: Xubuntu 14.04.5

Hi,

HPLIP does not support the firmware installation of HP LaserJet p1102 due to some of its limitation. You can check HP sites for help on firmware update from windows.
