Linux support for B9180

Asked by pfogal

I know that you don't as yet support the B9180 under Linux. This is just intended to show that there are people who would very much like to see the printer supported.

Thanks,
Pierre

Pierre,

Thanks for your interest in HPLIP. I'm sorry to report that we don't have any plans at this time to support the Photosmart Pro B9100 series because of technical reasons beyond our control.

Sorry I wasn't able to help more.

Aaron,

Thank-you, I appreciate the reply. If you have the opportunity to pass along
such requests for Linux support to those that control driver development for
the B9100 series, that would be good. HP may then find they've made some
customers happier!

I've passed it along. At this time it's out of the HPLIP team's hand I'm afraid.

Thanks for your time and for the report!
