Hi,

Since two versions of hplip-libs are installed which are preventing you to install new hplip RPM. Can you try following commands:

su -c "rpm -ev --nodeps hplip-libs-3.10.9-3.el6.x86_64"
su -c "rpm -ev --nodeps hplip-libs-3.10.9-3.el6.i686"

su -c "rpm -Uvh <latest HPLIP rpm>"

=> run "hp-check --fix"

=> Reconfigure print queue with the commands in the terminal mentioned below.
       => system-config-printer (remove all print queues)
      => su -c "hp-plugin" (This will download right plugin)
       => hp-setup (It should not be run in a root mode. This command is adding print queue, make sure you select ppd name having "-ps" or "hpcups" substring)
=>Try printing now.

Hi Thanks. But none of the solutions provided are working for this
particular install for HP Officejet Pro 8600 All-In-One printer. This
worked for another user in an earlier release of HPLIP-3.10.6.... release.
What happened in these later releases? Also receive an error stating the
"hpaio" is not in the /etc file:

"info: :'hpaio' in '/etc/sane.d/dll.conf'...
error: Not found. SANE backend 'hpaio' NOT properly setup (needs to be
added to /etc/sane.d/dll.conf)"

Appears the HP All-In-One is missing from the /etc/sane file.

Please provide instructions to UNINSTALL this HP Driver for HP Officeject
Pro 8600.

Thanks,

Ms. Walker

Hi,

Can you try following things.
=> Download and install the latest HPLIP release from
http://hplipopensource.com/hplip-web/install/install/index.html (automatic installer, press continue if Distro not supported error comes)

=> run "hp-check --fix" command in the terminal

=> Reconfigure print queue with the commands in the terminal mentioned below.
       => system-config-printer (remove all print queues)
      => su -c "hp-plugin"
             or
      => sudo hp-plugin (This will download right plugin)
       => hp-setup (It should not be run in a root mode. This command is adding print queue, make sure you select ppd name having "-ps" or "hpcups" substring)
=>Try printing now.
