Sorry for the delay.

Try installing the following package manually, then re-run the installer.
libgphoto2-devel
Let us know how it goes...
jh
I think the resolution is to manually install libgphoto2-devel at this time. Although this will be fixed in the next release.
Setting to answered.

The installed checks your internet status to make sure the installer will work. Because you will need to download/install dependency packages. You could try the manual install process:

Thanks... All dependences is installed.. I have installed it new. But
another problem occured: when HPLIP detect my printer, he has only
drivers for Laserjet devices. I tried to select manualy PPD file, I
can't find any PPD file for DeskJet... It's possible, that i have
maked a misstake in a compilation procedure? My comands executed:
./configure --disable-
--disable-fax-build --enable-gui-build --enable-scan-build
--enable-doc-build --enable-
--disable-
--with-
--disable-
ALL was good. Than I was executed "make" {all good was};
"su -c "make install"", all was good...
P.S. thank you very much... If on this time HPLIP will don't work
again, i will leave it still..

It sounds like something didn't get installed correctly. If possible lets remove hplip and re-install using the automatic installer. It will work with Suse 10.3 with some adjustments.
Remove hplip:
Open terminal
go into the hplip source directory (ie cd ~/Desktop/
Run:
su
make uninstall
make clean
cd ..
rm -rf hplip-2.7.10
Go to http://
download the automatic installer.
Open using the Suse package manager Yast, install glibphoto2-devel
Install hplip using the automatic installer.
Open terminal.
Run sh hplip-2.7.10.run
Follow the direction for suse 10.3.
It should work..let me know if need further assistance.

Also you could wait until the next release of HPLIP which will be shortly as the suse 10.3 problem will be fixed.

thanks. I have solved this problem self. I have instaled recomended dependences {libphoto-devel or same, you have it recomendet for me.)
then i have uninstalled all hplip and from www.opensuse.com i have installed a hplip-2,7,7 with 1-click-install. All work now...
I think maybe my hplip version was wrong, with same bug...
my way for this problem solving in a Open suSE 10,3:
1)add user to "ld" group;
2)install "libphoto-devel" (i don't remember a really name of this package)
3)remove all HPLIP;
4)Go to www.opensuse.com, select "get software", search hplip..
5)install it with 1Click-install....
On my machine after this all work...

fyi... Same problem occured in openSuse 11.0. I installed the above recommended package and was able to get past the problem.

maybe you can try to reinstall it [hplip or same..]. Reinstalation was helpful for me.
Can you help with this problem?
Provide an answer of your own, or ask voverius for more information if necessary.
