Upgrade 5.6.1-0~96 08/01/23 displaying a mixture of Languaged English +Foreign ( unknown)

Asked by Mr JD Carver

Hello
I am a Linux user on both of my two computers, one HP desktop + one Dell Laptop On each I have installed Linux Mint Mate 20.3. The financial software I have installed on both is Homebank OS. This software has worked well on both computers and has never given any problem what so ever. Until now.

Last week I carried out a system update on the Laptop. The update I noted included
Homebank 5.6.1-0~96 ubuntu 20.04. dated 08/01/23

No apparent problem with the update except when I opened Homebank. It displayed a mixture of English language and an unknown foreign language on screen headings

On my HP desktop I carried out the same update, but excluded the update for Homebank.

This update was accepted without any problem. I started up Homebank it worked perfectly as it had done previously.
I have since uninstalled the faulty Homebank OS from the laptop, until this problem is resolved

Your assistance in regards to this problematic Homebank upgrade would be appreciated
Regards
Dave.C

Thank you for all the responses that I have received to this mixed language
problem affecting Homebank 5.6.1-0~96
I will await the arrival of 5.6.2 and trust that this will resolve the
problem.
