how to create equity investment account

Asked by pierrick

Hello,
I just switch from Microsoft Money to Homebank. Everythink works well for bank accounts, but I don't find how to create an equity investment account. I try to import a qif, extract from Ms Money investment account. It look like

!Type:Invst
D20/04'2011
T415.67
NBuy
YTT actions
I15.36
Q27.0618
^
Home Bank import well first fields but it does not import the quotation (I 15.36) when I bought 27.0618 shares (Q27.0618).
After the import in homebank, the total of this account computes how many I spent to buy shares, but it don't tell me the current value of the account with last quotation.
If this kind of investment does not exist in HomeBank, a simple way to manage it would to have a new type of account with an additional column to manage numbers of shares in each transaction, to have the ability to sum numbers of share for all transactions, and finally a global fields at account level to set the current quote in order to compute the current total value of account. The import may be able to manage Q lines. I lines could be an annotation.

type ligne N->Z, Y->P, M->L, Q->M et I->N

Cordialement
