LINUX SECURITY

Hi Friends,
                  I've recently migrated from windows to Linux and am novice in this field.I have installed Linux mint.I want to know is there any need for internet security like windows?I have already turned on my firewall.Is it sufficient?Would you please tell me the names of available internet security for Linux mint?Please pardon me if I'm asking foolish questions but I really don't have any idea about Linux platform!Thank you.

If you are a normal user (browsing, email, some p2p) IMHO you don't have to setup any settings or program. There is a very good level of security in the standard installation. Firewall is a good point. I think that it's sufficient what you've just done. Of course it's important to maintain the system up date (like every operating system).

Try to use ClamAV for linux which is free and I hope it\s open source... welcome to Mint I am also new jst like u

@Costales, Wish I knew spanish...! by the way I don't have antivirus in my
Mint 13 Box.
