it won't apply font color changes to grub

Asked by dduran1210

changed : normal font=light-cyan
                   highlighted font = yellow

backgrounds are transparent.

tried various fonts 10 point or less, even none

custom resolution and image both at 1920x1080

colors show in grub customizer....but when i reboot, the menu shows only white font on everything.

ok, well, got very frustrated with linuxmint cinnamon....after fussing with
it for 3 weeks now? So i removed it and installed Linuxmint XFCE

thinking maybe it was cinnamon being the problem. Nope! Same problem
here with XFCE 18 latest distro. Image is fine, just can't get

the font colors to change. All white. here's the grub.cfg.

Oh, I bought a NEW MSI motherboard, and CPU and DDR3 Memory.. Runs better
& faster, but didn't help with the bootup font problem. lol.

Must be a better way to do this I think. Maybe I'll go buy Windows 10,
much as i hate it.
