default display settings

Asked by Carolyn Bray

I'm very new to graphite and working with a coworker who is a programmer (sorry, I'm not a programmer, I'm more an analyst of the data). We are trying graphite because we need a http based solution that can graph lots of different metrics and display them. I've got some questions on getting up and going.
Right now it seems that I have to open the various data sources and tell it I want the line display to be connected lines and how I want the date/time on the x-axis to display. Can we set up default "views"? And can I set up multiple ones, so that I only have to do one click to move from one group of metrics to another and still not have to reset all of my graph preferences?

You'll probably want to use the dashboard interface. There you can make
sets of graphs, and save them for later viewing.
