How to add strings to graphs (comments, explanations, etc)?

Asked by Steffen Poulsen

How do I add strings to the graph created by graphite?

I would like to do what I'm used to do with RRD features like COMMENT, PRINT and GPRINT (http://oss.oetiker.ch/rrdtool/doc/rrdgraph_graph.en.html).

An example could look like this one:

Is this possible with graphite?

I don't think this is currently possible.
