Add saved graphs to dashboard

Asked by Scobal

Hello,

Is it possible to create a graph using the Graphite Composer, save it to User Graphs, then include it on a dashboard?

Thanks :)

Not directly, but all of the Composer functions are available in the Dashboard.

Left-click on the image in the Dashboard once and a pop-up will appear, allowing you to edit the target name and apply functions, and change the graph style.

Hi,

Just discovered and installed graphite. The tool is impressive. However, the fact that saved graphs cannot be added in dashboards raises a philosophical question.

Are we supposed to create lots of dasboard rather than graphs ?

The initial thought was, make images in the composer, copy the image URLs, and make your own custom dashboards.

Many people wanted a built in dashboard, so Chris made a dashboard system in Graphite.

All the graph functions and options can be accessed in the dashboard by left-clicking a graph, so it is up to the user if you want many saved graphs or many dashboards.

Sounds ok to me. A bit disturbing at first... :)

Can you help with this problem?
