Allowable time format

Asked by Przemyslaw Bak

I'd like to feed graphite with the following line:

some.device.data1 <value> 2011/08/09 11:48

The "2011/08/09 11:48" is taken directly from data we get from device (we cannot change it). Is graphite going to interpret it correctly or I need to converse it somehow ?

It must be in Epoch time (the number of seconds since Jan 1, 1970).
