change themes

Asked by rbh

How do you install themes? It seems clear but when I locate the theme folder in the browse I can't see anything in it.
The procedure I use is in the preference I push the install button and than it has me browse for the folder then I open the folder and I can't see anything.
Thanks RBH

the theme installation is pretty basic.. download a theme, from gnome-look.org, then press the install button in the preferences menu and select the downloaded file

This is my problem when I select the folder it opens and there is nothing in it. If I open the folder from the desk top to view the contents its there its just when I browse from the install button then there is nothing there.

You don't install from the folder of the theme you select the
THEME.tar.gz file the theme is compressed in.
