Will there be Mate Desktop compatibility?

Mate is a fork of Gnome 2.x, available for a few distro, like Linux Mint or Debian, where Gnome3 replaced old 2.x. Supporting it should be easy (at least for now) cause in most cases it has only changed names of services/programs and paths. Will you add support for it?

I made the suggestion some time ago but since then but the landscape for
MATE has changed. Its not making any headway in the Desktop adoption and
the only Distro (Linux mint) that had any support for it will be dropping
it for their own desktop called Cinnamon.

While MATE at first seemed a possible option the truth is that app
development is very different from Gnome 2 and Python based Apps like
GnoMenu are not supported. So it is unlikely that a version for MATE will
happen before the desktop falls in to unsupported status because there is a
lack of interest.

I have made GnoMenu to mate and renamed MateNu.

I took the time to "translate" the code to Mate. Tilo-Menu was the result.
