Future Availability of Downloads

Asked by Remo Pillat

Hi,

I was wondering if there are any plans to deprecate the downloads of previous versions of the toolchain?
In particular, I am currently using version 4.6-2012-q4-update and my installer automatically downloads the toolchain as part of its setup. If possible, I would like to preserve this functionality in the future, so I wanted to verify how long the downloads of older versions are scheduled to stay online.

By the way, this new toolchain is well-maintained and works great with the arm7tdmi that I am targeting, so thanks for creating this project in the first place.

Thanks.

Remo,

Those who older than 2 years won't be maintained. But we will keep the
latest version of a serie available on the website when purging. In another
word, unless pinned on a non-latest version, you will always be able to
download it.

Will that work for you?

Thanks,
Joey

Hi Joey,

Thanks for the quick reply. This will definitely work for me, since I'm currently pinned to the latest version of the 4.6 series, i.e. 4.6-2012-q4-update.

Regards,
Remo
