Changing associated helper applications

Asked by Patti Johnson

When I receive an attached pdf file, click on it to open, the message, "could not be opened, because the associated helper application does not exist. Change the association in your preferences", appears. I have Adobe 10 installed and use Ubuntu 8.4. If I right click, the menu does not have the "Open With Adobe Reader" option. How do I fix it?

You can choose the preferred applications by going to firefox and then
applications, then you can change it to what you want :)
