General state of PUM

Asked by David Bernstein

Hello PUM developers, Could you give me a short summary of the state of the PUM library for fenics? How many developers are currently active, what are the short term plans for development in 2013, etc. I am looking for an open source XFEM code to use for hydraulic fracturing simulation (a technique used in natural gas mining) and would like to understand more about PUM.

Thanks,
Dave

Dear David,

There is no further new development on our planning. The main activity will
be maintenance, fixing possible bugs and updating the PUM solver and the
PUM library based on the developing versions of DOLFIN and FFC. The later
will be done in early next year. We may also add some new examples to the
library.

Yours,

So that we have access to the thesis?

Thanks,
Dave

The doi link works fine here. However, I updated it to the following link
in the announcement.

http://repository.tudelft.nl/view/ir/uuid%3A49e4dcc2-d22c-429e-a70d-73c30d72ba4a/

Hopefully, this works fine.

Mehdi
