Re-Connect Broken Tranmissions

Asked by Tremel

I have problems with my local power supply and at least twice a day it fails.

Anyone uploading from my files is broken and the result is not shown in the log.

When I re-connect the file does not re-connect to get the remaining part of the file.

Is there a setting somewhere within DC++0.706 which controls this or must the recipents re-start the upload?

Any suggestions wil be very much appreciated.

Hey,
I see your problem and I don't think that there is any setting with DC++0.706 because once the connection is timed out or broken you can't connect again with computer which is trying to upload/download. The only result to your problem is uninterruptible power supply (UPS). It can provide you with the power you need to run for your local power supply. If your server turns off then UPS can help maintaining your conneciton.

This article might be some help: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Uninterruptible_power_supply

Hope this helps,
Vikram

Hi Vikram

Thanks for your help.

There doesn't seem to be an answer which I can do from my end.

I'll look into the supply of a UPS, or wait for the "uploaders" to realise
that they don't have all the file
and come back and re-connect !

Thanks again.

Bill
