DC++ (0.705) shuts down when my screen saver begins
I have used previous versions of dc++ with no problems. I downloaded the latest version today and have found that each time my screen saver starts up dc++ shuts down. When I log back on again I need to restart it. It then continues from where it left off and continues with incomplete downloads. As I occassionally download films (which can take hours to download) I often leave the computer while it is downloading so the screen saver kicks in. I could just turn it off completely or...?
Can anyone help please?
Thanks,
Alasdair

What OS do you use? Are you sure you really using a screen saver and you haven't set to go the comp to standby after a period of time?
Are you using a special screen saver or one of those which built into Windows?

I am using Windows XP.
Definately just a screen saver as all other programmes keep running eg Real player carries on playing tracks while screen saver is on.
It's just a bog standard Windows screen saver - pics from My Pics.

Ok we can't reproduce it, but as there's a suspect it has a connection with another bug please try to leave your DC++ minimized (not active or visible) and let the screensaver run. Let's see what happens. Your help is appeciated.

It was fine. I minimized it and let the screen saver start up. When I logged back in it was still running.

Ok as this behavior is not common we need some information from your system to analyze the bug. Can you send us a HijackThis log? It lists the applications and processes you running in your computer. Here's a tutorial how to use it : http://
Of course we need the log file uploaded to a file hosting site and linked it here or maybe in a PM if you able to log on the Public Development hub.
Your help is appreciated again.

oops... kinda left out a bit: When minimized and the screensaver goes on (and it is just the screensaver, not sleep mode) the application continues to work.

This also happens if dc++ (0.705) is active/maximized but not active when minimizing an remote connection to the server where dc++ is running.
Highly annoying, but can be fixed by having dc++ in the tray.
