It says I'm connected but it doesn't work...

Asked by kitz0025

I downloaded this program at the beginning of the year. I cannot get any downloads and it claims that I'm connected. The system log says this everytime after I type something in the search bar...
[19:42] TLS disabled, failed to generate certificate: The system cannot find the file specified.
[19:42] Failed to load certificate file
[19:42] File list refresh initiated
[19:42] File list refresh finished

I do have windows vista...I'm not sure if that matters...but I would really really really like it to work! I tried all the suggestions that match up with my question. Please help!!!

**I have the .699 version

You need to connect to a hub first of all, open the public hublist and then connect to a hub. First then you can search for something.

If you really are connected to a hub, you would see an motd, a mainchat and a userlist to the right of your client. And hopefully also some chat in the mainchat window.
And besides the system log tab it would be a tab with a hubname displayd.
Can you see any other text then the one in system log?

Yes there is a tab that has my hub name but it won't allow me to search.
There aren't any display names at all or text in the boxes. On Mar 27 2008,

eMTee suggests this article as an answer to your question:
FAQ #82: “I keep getting unable to register... like, TLS or certificate file related error(s) at startup. Search/download does not work. What should I do?”.

Can you help with this problem?
