Download on infinite loop

Asked by toooldforthis

so my downloading is now on infinite repeat. had no problems as of yesterday, came back to computer today to discover the same file on repeat. attempted to download different file, even different files from different users, to the same effect. searched the questions and found someone with a similar problem and was told to enable don't download files already in share + queue - did that, removed everything previously from queue, removed temp files - and still nothing, just constantly on repeat without ever completing. help?

eMTee suggests this article as an answer to your question:
FAQ #1246: “I get “Full tree does not match TTH Root” or “TTH Inconsistency” messages. My downloads don't finish. What do I do?”.

unfortunately, rehashing didn't solve anything.

Your OS, DC++ version? Portable or installer? Is the default path of finished or unifinished downloads changed?

windows vista, v0.782 - default paths in place, even tried downloading to different locations/different drives. here's the thing - am i just retarded? it seems like the downloads EVENTUALLY finish after an uncountable amount of looping attempts (certainly not a download speed issue either).

Where do you follow the progressing of the downloads in the GUI?

wow, thank you for your patience eMTee - but i believe i've solved my self-made dilemma. i now realize that the files are downloading in chunks, so what appears as the green bar on an infinite loop of the same file is merely each chunk of the file completing. i'm a schmuck :) and again, my apologies as I haven't used DC++ since 2003.

Yeah, a few things changed since then...
