DC++

Bad nickname ??

..... I've re-installed DC thinking that was the problem it was fine and then it started bringing this up (below) and won't let me connect. my user name ONLY uses those characters aloud.

This might be a redirect hub, try other hub networks in DC++ as recommendation.
