Is it possible to show all listings on front page map?

Asked by Ethan Miller

Though I like showing "recent updates" on the front page of our various sites, I think the presentation would be stronger if the map showed *all* listings, and only the list below was "recent updates." When I go to the site, I find myself expecting the map to do this, and end up thinking "gee, there aren't many listings in this directory!". What do people think?

We could do this now for "smaller" sites (not-too-many-hundreds of entries). For bigger sites, it needs a bit of extra work to do nicely. Definitely doable and desirable.

"They go on. They leave Omelas, they walk ahead into the darkness, and they
do not come back. The place they go towards is a place even less imaginable
to most of us than the city of happiness. I cannot describe it at all. It
is possible that it does not exist. But they seem to know where they are
going, the ones who walk away from Omelas." - Ursula K. Leguin
