Music metadata cover search

Hi!
I have a question: is it possible to implement a metadata support for cover search engine (i.e.: search a cover in the file tags/metadata)?
That would be a great feature. Now (afaik)there are only two ways to show/find covers: in local folder or internet database/service.

Yes, it is now possible with the latest architecture, we just have to make
the plugin
