I'm not sure I understand the question. Is the problem that sound is not working properly with a soundblaster live audio controller? Or, is the problem that the test in Checkbox for audio is not reporting the problem properly? Or, something else?

Thanks for the reply I now see the question was quite vague. I stumbled in the dark and got lucky it is working now. How I have no idea

It Took Quite some time as I am new to ubuntu but I followed all of the instructions.

The article is the best I've run across and seems to cover everything. I highly
reccomend 9it. I hope it solves your problem too. Thanks for your reply.
