installing a module

Asked by Hossein Nili

Hello,

I know this would be an over-simplistic question: I don't know how to install a module (it's cbc.pdesys I would like to have installed) so that I can import it within my FEniCS script. I'm using Windows 7, tried a few online instructions but didn't work!

I can see the tar.gz file here: https://launchpad.net/cbcpdesys

but can't install it. Excuse the unfamiliarity...

Is there a step-by-step guide on installing the package?

Many thanks,

Hi,

I have not installed this on Windows, but it should be straightforward. Just uncompress the tar.gz file and put the path to cbcpdesys on your PYTHONPATH. I don't know how environment variables are set with Windows though.

Best regards

Mikael
