Canonical SSO provider

Cannot edit company details

Using 7.0 on Ubuntu 12.04.2
Settings -> Companies -> (my company)
I have entered most company data (including my VAT number) and was able to save.I went back to add the company logo. When trying to save I get the following message:

ValidateError

Error occurred while validating the field(s) vat:
This VAT number does not seem to be valid.
Note: the expected format is NL123456782B90

After discarding I tried to edit and save again. This time I did not get the ValidateError.
It looks as if any change in the Company Data now gives me this error.

:(

Any ideas?

I'm pretty sure this isn't an issue with our SSO provider but could you confirm please.
