Can I merge accounts?

I tried to use the 'Add another email' option but got a message saying 'Email already registered'.

I must have registered separate accounts with each email address in the past. Is there a way I can merge them?

Currently, there is no way to merge two accounts and there is also no way to delete an email from one account in order to add it to another once it has been verified. I've filed bug #523091 to track this request but can't yet tell you if/when it will be addressed.

Apparently, it is possible to merge accounts but this requires a few steps:

For each account, follow these steps:

 1. log in to https://login.launchpad.net/
 2. click on your name in the top right corner of the page
 3. send us the full web address of your account page (looks like https://launchpad.net/~username )

Send this information to us using the SSO support form at https://forms.canonical.com/sso-support/ and also tell us which account you would like to keep as your main account and we'll merge the other one into it.
