Conflict error/Could not acquire lock

Asked by Peter Balazovic

Hello guys,

I am using Bazaar vcs and having some problems with it.

>>>>>>ERROR
e.g.:
Run command: bzr update
bzr: ERROR: Could not acquire lock "C:/work/HW01_DCB_ACDC/local_REV1/.bzr/checkout/dirstate": (32, 'CreateFileW', 'Proces nem\xe1 p\xf8\xedstup k souboru, nebo\x9d jej pr\xe1v\xec vyu\x9e\xedv\xe1 jin\xfd proces.')
>>>>>>

To explain further:
My "C:/work" directories are under "Windows Live Mesh" to sync/backup directories with my other computers. I am using Bazaar within these directories.
Do you think Bazaar might somehow conflicts with "Windows Live Mesh"?

Further:
I am using Dropbox utility as well and I have same problem under Dropbox directories. Even Dropbox provide some version control capability I would prefer to use Bazaar. In my case Dropbox is used as backup facility.
Anyway question is:
Do you think Bazaar might somehow conflicts with "Dropbox"?

My experience says even if I commit/update I am getting these errors "Could not acquire lock".

Any help to correct usage of Bazaar with "Windows Live Mesh" or "Dropbox"?
Thanks a lot!

Best regards,
Peter

Hi Peter,

I think error 32 is "the file is being used by another process", so I
guess yes, it is conflicting. I'm not sure if there is a way to avoid
this but we could at least try.
