Checking out code through http URL using Bazaar explorer

Asked by Chitrang Shah

I am new to using DVCS and have to check out code using Bazaar. I have a URL in the form of http://xxx.xxx.x.xx/trunk and http://xxx.xxx.x.xx/release/xx-xx and I am unable to get them working. I entered the URL using Branch source and the Open URL option but everytime I get an error saying this:
bzr: ERROR: Connection error: while sending OPTIONS /trunk/: [Errno 10060] A connection attempt failed because the connected party did not properly respond after a period of time, or established connection failed because connected host has failed to respond

I have a made a project folder as my local directory on desktop. I don't know how to get it working.

I'm guessing you have bzr-svn installed, and it seems to be sending an
OPTIONS query to the host, which is being rejected in an odd way.

One option is to try running Bazaar without bzr-svn and see if that
changes things. I'm guessing you are running from the gui, so the
easiest way to do it is to either rename the plugin, or just re-install
and unselect bzr-svn. (There are a bunch of ways, but I'm not sure what
is the easiest for you to understand.)
