running bzr-builder without python-debian

Asked by Jan Kneschke

After installing the bzr-builder plugin on MacOS X I get:

  $ bzr plugins
  No module named debian_bundle
  Unable to load plugin 'builder' from '~/.bazaar/plugins'

Is there a way to run bzr-builder without the Debian/Ubuntu python packages ? Looks like it needs python-debian which needs python-support which are both specific to those distributions/platforms.

The docs don't seem to require the presence of the debian_bundle.

python-debian only needs python-support on Debian platforms, but may
require things like python-apt to work well.

That's an oversight.
