Bug Description

The same valuator axes are used for both single-touch pointer motion and multitouch X events. This means the axis ranges and values must be the same for single-touch and multitouch events. Apple Macbook trackpads report different axis ranges and values from the kernel driver. The X synaptics module needs to scale the the single touch axes to the higher resolution multitouch axes.
