It is possible to add/remove roles for a user, but you can't list to see which a user presently has.

This is actually a major bug in the usage of the CLI.. For any activity you can add/create there should be a corresponding list function. This means that from the CLI this absolutely no way to ever see what roles have been given to a user.
Please raise the importance of this bug from Wishlist to Medium or higher.
