Bug Description

Binary package hint: firefox-3.5

Firefox frequently (2 x day) crashes on web pages, and hangs the entire system. The only way around it is to hard boot the laptop. No error messages or codes display. Mouse does not move, keyboard is dead. Happens on a variety of sites, including Facebook, when viewing walls, not watching videos or looking at photos.

Ubuntu seems to be behaving itself today, after I installed the latest
Firefox version (3.5.6). I'm going to save this email and see what
happens over the next couple of days. If I get another freeze I'll put
this new version on.

I'll keep you posted.

Installed the newer driver, but am still seeing hangs. Doesn't seem to
take any very specific activity to do it. Can happen while typing email
in Evolution, or when I resize a pane in Rhythmbox. Saw an article in
Computerworld suggesting reverting the driver to an earlier version. Is
this a possibility? I like everything else about my karmic release.
