Bug Description

I don't know if this has been mentioned (I searched the site but didn't find any) or if this counts as a "bug", but I'll give it a go.
I recently updated to the new dc++ version (0.7.0.91) and immediately I encountered a problem. When you open dc++ all your subdirectories are expanded - and you have in front of you a huge treelist. It's extremely annoying and makes it impossible to have some kind of order in your quelist. Even if I minimize the treelist (press the - button) and then restart the program, it doesn't save. It always comes back to expanded view.

Uh... I don't know what to say else or what to expect. Surely I shouldn't expect some kind of fix to this any time soon? Am I reporting a bug now and someone will take notice to this? and helpfully fix this in the next release? Is that how it works?

/thanks

this was changed in order to solve bug 289571 in an easy way.

personally i prefer having all dirs expanded as my download queue has a relatively small number of sub-dirs and my screen is wide enough.
it would be nice auto-save the state (collapsed/expanded) of items in the directories tree...

Ok, I skimmed through the page you linked to... So you are telling me, in order to solve a bug one specific user had, was to make a permanent change to dc++?

So is this it? Is this what I can expect from now on? I don't understand how this is deemed the better choice. Now, if you have many many directories in your que and it expands every time when the program starts, doesn't that involve more work for the program and subsequently your computer? At the very least it should be an option to have it this way or the other way.

PS. I have Windows XP SP2 btw.
