Bug Description
Binary package hint: gnome-terminal
First Grub message is fine at restart after clean installation (8.04 lts) (1.2 ghz/800fsb, 1gig of ram)
Second grub message says please wait.......
under that it says Error 18 and it never continues from there, or if it does I haven't waited long enough but it does not sound like it's doing anything on the drive.
Love Ubuntu this is my first experience with it. Even with the error I popped in the cd and got online to see if I could find this problem. The website is a bit overwhelming for a newbie, I have the book "The official ubuntu book" but without breaking out my unix book don't know how to get to the directory /boot/grub to look at the file menu.lst.
I can keep plugging away I guess but if someone could point me in the right section it would save me alot of time.
Thanks, KBaldwin
