can't login anymore on launchpad after switching several mail addresses

Hi.
(I posted this as a question 1 hour ago, but nobody answered so i post it here).

This morning, I tried to change my main mail address (e-stealth_[nospam]_hotmail.fr) to (cipher16_[nospam]_gmail.com), and i've been disconnected, now with the both mail address it says that it's not possible to login on the account.

What have I to do to login with my account ?? I've got no email from launchpad since this change so ... it's forbidden to change the main address or it's a bug?

(sorry for my english). (I created another account to post this issue).

Hi Gaetan,

To file a bug you have to be logged in, so the fact that you filed this one shows that you can log in. Maybe the problem is that the interface is not making it clear that you're already logged in?

I created a new account that's why i can file a bug, but it's not my main account I just created it to file the bug.

Oh, I see. Do you know the name of the other account? Can you give us
more details about what happens when you try to login?

the display name is e-stealth and the name is cipher16 or e-stealth (i changed it just before the bug so i don't know if it's still e-stealth or cipher16 ...).

When I try to login with both mail address I get this message : This account cannot be used.

This appears to be a cache problem. When a new email address is created and set as the preferred email address, the address still has the NEW status in the application. Since an account must have a Validated email address as the preferred email address, the account is 'effectively' deactivated.

This problem can manifest itself a second way, when an existing email valid email address is set as the preferred email address, the +editemail page can oops because the address appears twice in the valid emails list; once because it is valid, and second because it is the preferred email.

primary may happen in another bug, but we need to restore the active accounts without a preferred email address.

I have a script that can fix this and similarly affected accounts when the application is restarted.

I have the same problem that Damien Thebault with my account "bertrand.cachet".

When I try to log in, it tells me that "This account cannot be used".

This problem appears 3 weeks ago and don't really faciliate management of my project.

Can you please have a look to this problem
