Bug Description

I just installed "AcetoneISO 2.3" on my Ubuntu 13.04 (Raring Ringtail) and I noticed that the menus have only icons, and no text. That makes the software almost unusable to me. I tried to launch it in both KDE and Gnome sessions but there were no differences.

Here's my screencast showing the problem I have with this software, in order understand clearly what I'm talking about: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8RZLkW9MnUc

Has anyone experienced the same issue?
Is there a workaround yet to fix that?
It would be such a pity not to be able to use this piece of software. I already tried some alternatives but they just don't fit my needs.

I will have no time to look in the issue till the next week.
Can you please run acetoneiso from command line using the following command?

LANG=C acetoneiso

Please let me know, if this workaround works for you for now.

I think that the problem is related to acetoneiso localisation.

"LANG=en acetoneiso" works too (obviously the menu is in English), while other languages (LANG=it or LANG=fr) give an UI without any text.

Unfortunately the workaround didn't work for me, I tried "LANG=C acetoneiso" and "LANG=en acetoneiso" but with no success.

The problem is indeed in the localization and specifically in the conversion from/to translated files (launchpad uses .po files, while acetoneiso the QT .ts files).
As I said before I will need some days to find the time to fix this issue.

@markhinoz
Did you try writing this in a terminal? It should work

Hi all,

Can you please try the new package from my PPA, found here?
https://launchpad.net/~andrikos/+archive/ppa/+packages?field.name_filter=acetoneiso&field.status_filter=published&field.series_filter=

This should fix the problem.
If this fixes the problem, I'll upload it to debian and to ubuntu

Regards,
Nick

Hi there, I'm the AcetoneISO author. I just sent an email to Nick Andrik with Acetoneiso 2.4 source code. It fixes some bugs here and there (like youtube download) and other UI things. Hopefully it also gets this bug fixed.
