Um, the 3.40-0.1ubuntu2 upload has no changes except the changelog entry.

Boy, Launchpad and apport don't seem to be catching these dupes at all. Excuse me if I'm too far off-topic. I see bug 29713 (that's an oldie! but work is in progress :), which says searches fail when the text has punctuation in certain positions. This subject has the single quotes around the file name. I don't know if that bug applies, and if 'search' there includes the automated matching as well as interactive searches. If that's true, maybe that's why several reporters have not been directed to this bug report. (Some experienced reporters, too, it appears.)

I had to see this report and those others just by looking at the list of bugs for the package:

  https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/manpages/+bugs?orderby=-id&start=0

But I'll only be eyeballing that page for so long tonight. :)

To follow up my earlier comment: it looks bug 29713 was the problem, in matching dupes to this bug. 29713 is now marked fixed . I tested it, by uploading my earlier crashfile with apport-bug, and Launchpad showed me this bug report. Yay!
