When will you package 2.5?

Asked by silid

First off - thanks for the work you have been doing. You do a good job.

My main question is when are you likely to be releasing packages for the 2.5 version of bacula? I appreciate it is still in beta but it is this version that introduced support for extended file attributes.

Also will you be doing a package for bacula-rescue?

Thanks again.

Si

*Possibly* we will be releasing the official source code by the end of March.

If you want binary packages, you will need to wait until the come out of
Ubuntu or alternatively, you can get them from Bacula Systems.

My original idea of building a rescue from each operating system has not
worked out because of the differences in how Linux systems boot, which is an
ever changing process.

There are now lots of good rescue disks available.

I have a developed an interesting and flexible USB key rescue system, but it
will only be offered through Bacula Systems.
