How to delete tags that are no longer needed?

I've been syncing with RTM; perhaps as a result, I'm using a lot of tags (so I can align lists and tags).

I've wound up with some "empty" tags on Astrid: they appear in the tags list but show zero tasks within: "(0)". How can I delete those unnecessary, obsolete tags?

try long pressing on the tag :)

I've just upgraded to astrid v3.2 and can not find a way to delete unused tags.

In previous versions of astrid, I think you could view all the tags. I can't find how to do that now. If I look at the filters view and long press on a tag, it just gives me the option to create a desktop shortcut.

Please help.

To answer your question though, no there isn't a way to delete tags. But that is because, if you have no tasks assigned to the tag, it just disappears.

Deleting a tag is a feature that's on our roadmap.

What Jeff says is correct, except that we also don't have any way to
permanently delete tasks, so even if they are marked deleted, the tag
will still show up because there are some tasks in Astrid's system that
are tagged with this value.
